Shaft seals, also for valves

NMF shows its Pantzerseal. These are a kind of mechanical seals, based on the Caterpillar principle. The fuction is realised by two seal faces which are compressed between two oversized O-rings. These seals are suitable for use in pumps and mixers, where high-viscous fluids, bitumen, high concentration sand, sticky substances, abrassive materials and such can be sealed. By combining several basic models, a large number of models can be supplied. Big advantage is that we can supply them in the customers dimensions so they can be used without modifying the customers equipment. The seal can be used in foodstuff, sugar, CIP uses, refinaries, steam, bitumen, mixers, chemical installations, paints, etcetera.
When sealing valves the problem is that because the packing wears down or there is expansion through heat and reduction by cooling down, the seal will start to leak. By using an extra compressed seal together with additional tension on the seal, the seal will not leak. A leak indicator is visual. The combination functions so well, that it is TA-Luft (up to 100 bar/450°C), Live-Loading (up to 4.000 bar/750°C), British Fire Safe according to BS6755 part 2 (up to 160 bar/750°C) and BAM (oxygen) approved.
