Privacy Statement

Do you use the Proces Media website or services? Then this privacy statement is intended for you.

Why this Privacy Statement?

In this Privacy Statement you can read which personal data Process Media collects, what we use this personal data for, how we guarantee the protection of your privacy, how long we store your data and how you can exercise your rights.

Who is responsible for data processing?

Process Media BV, located in Uithoorn, is responsible for collecting and using your data.

Who do we share your data with?

We have concluded processing agreements with various processing parties for the processing of your personal data. At your request, we can provide you with an overview of the parties that process your data on our behalf. Naturally, we only provide the data processor with those data that are necessary for the service you have selected. For example, in the case of a registration for an emailing, only your email address will be provided. We do not share your data with third parties (other than our processors).

Which personal data do we process and why?

You have the option to create a personal profile during the registration process, but also afterwards. Filling in the various fields is not mandatory. You decide for yourself which personal data (in addition to the e-mail address) we may have. You can think of your first and last name, address details, telephone number, etc. You also have the option of indicating which type of company you work for and in which industry, as well as which form of media you wish to receive from us. You can choose from the following options:

The monthly newsletter + the digital magazine
The magazine in print 6 times a year

Only your name and an email address are required to send our digital mailings.
If you purchase a paid service from us, we will also ask for your company name, the name of the contact person at your organization and address details so that we can arrange for the invoice to be sent.

Every company working in the field can create a company listing on our website. To create a company listing, a valid email address must be provided. This is the correspondence address we will use. The e-mail address is not shown on the website and is therefore not public. The further specified company details such as name, contact person and postal address will be shown on the website.

The company listing can include e-mail addresses of persons who are entitled to post news items on our website. These address(es) are used by us for:

sending confirmation of news you post
sending a monthly reminder that a newsletter will be released a week later, asking if you want to post news

The specified e-mail addresses also receive the newsletters.

When you choose a paid listing, an email address can be provided for billing purposes. This e-mail address will only be used for this purpose and will not be given or made available to third parties for inspection.

How do we ensure the security of your data?

We are obliged to ensure that your personal data is safe with us. We have introduced both organizational and technical security measures. You can think of limited access to our office, but also the use of antivirus software, firewalls, etc. We ensure that our security policy is regularly evaluated and adjusted if necessary in view of technical and further developments.

How long do we store your data?

We keep your data until you unsubscribe from the newsletter or terminate the agreement with us, unless we are legally obliged to keep the data longer, for example in the context of our accounting obligation. In that case, we will only keep the data that is necessary for this and destroy the further data.

How can you exercise your rights?

You have the legal right to inspect the personal data that we process, the right to change and to delete. Via the profile you have the option to view, modify and delete your data. The changes you make to your profile are also immediately applied to our database.

A business listing can be changed at any time by the owner of the mailing address. The listing can be removed on request, this can be done by e-mail, if it is sent from the company (domain name) in question. If your data is processed by us for a purpose other than for the execution of the agreement or the consent you have given us, you can object to the processing by us. You can send an e-mail with your objection to Proces Media. We will reply as soon as possible. If this response is not to your satisfaction, you can then submit your objection to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Where can I find the most recent version of the privacy statement?

Rapid technological developments, legislation and changes in business processes require us to regularly adjust our privacy policy. In that case we will also be able to (unilaterally) adjust the privacy statement. You can see at the date at the bottom/top of this page when the privacy statement was last updated. You will always find the most recent version of the privacy statement on this page. We therefore advise you to regularly consult our website to take note of the most recent version of the privacy statement.

Who can I contact with questions about my data?

If you have any questions about the processing of your personal data by us, you can contact us. You can email your questions to [email protected]. We will then answer your question as soon as possible.
