Packo has extended its pump range for the food and pharmaceutical industry with a new stainless steel Cip return pump, the Crp series. The pump range contains 10 models with flows to 170 m³/h and heads to 7.5 bar and has been EHEDG certified.
Unique to this pump range is that she combines the advantages of several pump types. Particularly: the property to process air and to drain a vessel – such as a water ring pump – but without blocking – and the high output and the reliability of service of a centrifugal pump. Because of this the pump is excellent as a CIP return pump.
The construction uses the same pump parts as the Packo centrifugal pumps. Only the pump casing is different. This means that an ordinary pump can be converted to an air handling Cip return pump by only exchanging the pump casing. Moreover the number of spare parts reduces.
In contrast to the suction power of a water ring pump the suction power of the Packo Crp-pomp remains unchanged, also after many years` use. No wear appears in the pump pump casing or on the impeller because they never come in contact with each other.
The pumps have been electrolytically polished in standard finish, (trade mark of the Packo pumps) and this raises corrosion resistance and cleanability. For pharmaceutical applications Ra < 0,4 µm can be delivered as well.
