Press BULLETIN: New generation steamable valve for aseptic filling of liquid liners.

11/10/07

Qbig Packaging BV has the honour to introduce the new generation of sterilisable valves with CST (Conical Seal Technology).

Qbig Packaging BV supplies already for some years a sterilisable valve connected to its liners for the aseptic packaging of fluids. This valve is now already successfully applied in milk and fruit industry.

The sterilisable valves which are used at this moment are limited for radiation and are not resistant against high temperatures and high steam pressure. By developing a valve with a butterfly independently centred in the valve house (conical seal technology (CST)) the Qbig valve is very good resistant against high temperatures up to 145 Cº and high steam pressure.
With this technology the new valve is possible to steam sterilise in a very short time like 1 min. 145 Cº or 3 min. 130 Cº. The current valves that are used are steamed for 10 min. 120 Cº.

Further possibilities for the aseptic filling of Qbig liners can be done with several aseptic spouts, which can easily be connected by the unique form of the Qbig liner simply on the edge of the container.
