Busch has introduced a brand new series of liquid ring vacuum pumps to the market: the Dolphin LX series is made up of eight different pump sizes of single-stage liquid ring vacuum pumps in block construction, that reach ultimate pressures of 33 hPa (mbar). The suction capacities cover a range of 25 to 455 cubic metres per hour.
All pump sizes of this new generation of liquid ring vacuum pumps are fitted with an impeller made of stainless steel. The pump sizes from 75 to 220 cubic metres per hour are also available as completely stainless steel versions. Thanks to the choice of materials and the extensive accessories programme, the Dolphin LX vacuum pumps can be deployed brilliantly in all areas of industry, even in critical applications. Combined with a gas ejector, ultimate pressures of 8 hPa (mbar) are reached. You can basically choose between three different operating modes: with the re-circulation system, the operating fluid is permanently fed and discharged together with the process gas. When the circuit is open, the operating fluid collects in a downstream container, where it is separated from the gas and then fed again to the vacuum pump. At the same time, fresh operating fluid flows into the vacuum pump. When operating with the closed circuit, the operating fluid is also collected in a downstream container and separated from the gas, after which it flows through a cooler before being fed back to the vacuum pump. When the circuit is closed, hardly any operating fluid is lost.
