ABW is taking a significant step in optimizing its range of floor scales. From now on, only galvanized models will be offered, marking the end of painted steel versions. Thanks to economies of scale and synergy benefits, ABW no longer applies price differentiation—allowing customers to fully benefit from these advancements.
The decision to switch to galvanized floor scales is primarily driven by durability. Galvanization is a process in which steel is immersed in a zinc bath. This results in a strong, corrosion-resistant zinc coating that effectively and sustainably protects the underlying metal from rust and wear. This is a key advantage over painted steel versions, where the paint layer can peel off, exposing the steel surface to corrosion.
The official launch of ABW’s galvanized floor scales is just around the corner. These floor scales come standard with a weighing capacity of 3,000 kg, with custom solutions also available.
