A Newson Gale Earthing system for safe discharging of static electricity during loading/unloading of trucks.
The uniquely patented Earth-Rite RTR features critical ‘Tri-Mode’ technology that ensures both a good static earth connection to the system exists and that correct bonding and earthing procedures are carried out before loading or unloading starts.
Mode 1 – Road Tanker Recognition confirms that the RTR clamp is connected to road tanker and not to other earthed or unearthed objects.
Mode 2 – Positive Earth Recognition confirms positive static earth connection before connecting truck.
Mode 3 – Earth Connection Monitoring confirms clamp connection and earth connection is good throughout transfer process by ensuring connection resistance does not rise above 10 ohms
Once the RTR earthing clamp is connected, four very clear LEDs confirm the earthed condition of the road tanker. Switching of the ‘Red’ LED to ‘Green’ LEDs indicates that internal voltage free contacts to interlocks for pumps, valves, alarms etc are open.
