Large European chocolate producer in France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands use magnetic filters from Goudsmit Magnetic Systems in Waalre. The double-walled magnetic filters remove very fine iron particles (from 25 mhu) from liquid chocolate. After an intensive testing period of almost 6 months, and following comparisons with other European magnet producers, the decision was made for the company in Waalre, which has a sales office in France.
The filters are installed in the processing lines of the various factories, in line with the European legislation on the HACCP quality of food and confectionary.
Solidification
Double-walled magnetic filters are used for removing iron from products, which solidify and which are transported under pressure. This is particularly important when processing chocolate. By warming up the housing with water at a temperature of 30º C, the chocolate is prevented from solidifying. The use of powerful Neoflux® magnetic bars prevents the iron particles from being carried through.
The construction of the magnetic filter is fully sanitised, ensuring it can comply with the stringent (HACCP) requirements of the food industry.
