At this year’s interpack in Düsseldorf, Fristam will showcase its complete portfolio of hygienic centrifugal and positive displacement pumps. With its presentation in May, the Hamburg-based company will focus especially on hygienic and aseptic bottling applications for liquid media. The stainless steel pumps supplied by the Hamburg machine manufacturer have been setting benchmarks for many years in the areas of hygiene, efficiency, productivity and energy consumption.
Fruit juices, jam, dressings, liquid sugar, whole eggs, yoghurt and milk, in the food processing industry these are all transported by pumps. Normally, the last step in the process chain is filling the product into a bottle, can, carton box, plastic cup or tube to protect it until final consumption. Fristam constantly benefits from the fact that it is the only pump manufacturer worldwide to offer a complete product range in the segment of contactless operating hygienic pumps. It includes standard and self-priming centrifugal pumps as well as pumps for high system pressures. Moreover, the range of proven rotary lobe and circumferential piston pumps was extended in 2016 by introducing the Fristam FDS double-screw pump series. The extensive choice of pump models enables Fristam to offer the optimal solution for every application, considering all relevant process parameters and general commercial considerations, for product transport, special metering tasks and for cleaning the processing equipment.
Hygienic pumps – the full range
In the low-viscosity segment, the Fristam centrifugal pump portfolio includes stainless steel pumps with a maximum flow rate of more than 500 m3/h. Especially where products need to be filtered or pasteurized prior to bottling, the pressure booster and high-pressure versions are an ideal choice, since they can operate under system pressures of up to 80 bar. Positive displacement pumps are normally used for high-viscous media or such with chunky ingredients. For these types of applications, Fristam also offers a wide range of rotary lobe and circumferential piston pumps as well as double-screw pumps. The pumps are equipped with motors suitable for converters, in order to maintain a constant product flow even with fluctuating viscosities, so that the product to be transported is moved as gently as possible, and the pump aggregate can operate with maximum efficiency.
