Modern load cells proved to be reliable and accurate measuring elements. Thanks to the used material, steel or stainless steel, combined with protection classes up to IP68, they can be applied almost anywhere. However, a concern is the way of mounting. The accuracy of the sensor, 0.017%, requires a proper assembly. Uneven surfaces, tilting or loads in the horizontal plane have a negative effect. Mounting kits contribute to the proper operation. The PENKO loading assemblies are recently improved, the force introduction now takes place via a ball and cup arrangement. As a result, side forces, loads in the horizontal plane, are no longer possible. Integrated in the kit are two bolts as a lift off protection, easing mounting and/or replacement of the sensor. This feature limits movement in the horizontal plane and makes the weighing system wind resistant. Thus, by mounting the fitting horizontal one meets all requirements. The mounting kits is suitable for the series 350. Available are ranges from 300 to 2000 kg (35902) and 3000 to 5000 kg (35903), in zinc plated or stainless steel.
