Typhoon’s product range includes a side entry agitator which has been successfully handling a wide variety of different applications for some time now. As the dimensions of storage tanks have become substantially larger, Typhoon has been carrying out extensive technical research at the MARIN ”Maritime Research Institute” in Wageningen, the Netherlands, into the flow patterns in a storage tank measuring 220 metres long and 15.8 metres wide. This research has shown that the Typhoon propeller generates a very effective flow, a high level of thrust and cost-effective performance, and is therefore especially well-suited to mixing a product properly and keeping it homogeneous inside large storage tanks.
