Pressure vacuum trucks, bulk trucks and chemical tankers are susceptible to build up static electricity during loading processes in ATEX environments.

Static ground verification ensures the connection resistance of the object that is identified as the ground source to earth, is low enough to safely dissipate static charges from the truck. After this, continuous monitoring of the earthing circuit is required, which monitors the connection resistance between the vacuüm truck and the verified earthing point for the duration of the whole process.

Ground monitoring systems built on pressure-vacuum tankers must also be ATEX / IECEx approved to provide optimal protection in industrial ATEX flammable and combustible environments.

The Earth-Rite MGV grounding system was developed to allow users to establish a safe ground connection of their vehicle, in accordance with recommended good practice, including the SIR guidelines (Stichting Industriële Reiniging).
